FaxGo for iOS
Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 31, 2026
The short version. You do not create an account. We do not keep a copy of the documents you fax. There are no advertising or analytics trackers in the app, and we do not sell data to anyone.
1. Who we are
FaxGo is an iOS app that sends faxes from your phone. It is operated by Poznyak & Co. LLC, a New York limited liability company trading as Softery. In this policy "we" and "us" mean that company, and "the app" means FaxGo for iOS.
For any privacy question, or to ask us to delete your data, write to support@softery.io.
2. What the app collects
No name, email, or password
FaxGo has no sign-up screen. You can install the app and send a fax without telling us who you are. We never ask for your name, email address, phone number, or a password.
A random device identifier
The first time you open the app it generates a random identifier that means nothing outside FaxGo. It is stored in the iOS Keychain on your device and sent to our server so that your fax balance belongs to something. It is not your Apple ID, not your phone number, and not an advertising identifier, and nobody else can link it to you.
An Apple purchase identifier
So that faxes you have paid for survive a reinstall or a new phone, the app asks Apple for a signed token and sends it to our server. Inside that token is an identifier Apple assigns to your Apple ID for this app specifically. We store it and use it only to find your balance again. It does not reveal your Apple ID, your name, or your email address to us, and it is meaningless to any other developer.
Fax records
When you send a fax we record only what is needed to deliver it and to show you its status:
- the recipient fax number you entered,
- the sender fax number the fax was sent from,
- the number of pages,
- the delivery status, and if it failed, the reason the telephone network gave,
- the date and time,
- the identifiers described above.
3. What happens to your documents
This is the part that matters most, so here it is step by step.
- Pages are captured and processed entirely on your device. Cropping, straightening, contrast, and the conversion to a fax-ready PDF all happen on the phone.
- When you press Send, the PDF is uploaded over an encrypted connection to our server, which immediately passes it to our fax carrier for transmission. We do not store a copy.
- The carrier holds the file only as long as the transmission needs it, with a maximum lifetime of one hour, after which it is deleted automatically.
- The fax then travels over the public telephone network to the machine you addressed it to. Fax is a telephone technology from the 1980s with no encryption of its own, so treat a fax the way you would treat a phone call.
- The copy in your History tab lives on your phone, in the app's private storage. Deleting it there deletes it. Deleting the app deletes all of them.
We cannot read your faxes, because we do not keep them.
4. Purchases
Fax packs are sold by Apple through the App Store. Apple takes the payment, and we never see your card number, your billing address, or your Apple ID credentials.
Apple tells our purchase processor, RevenueCat, that a purchase happened, and RevenueCat tells our server so we can add the faxes to your balance. For each purchase we store the Apple transaction identifier, which pack was bought, how many faxes it granted, and whether it was a real or a test purchase. That record is what proves you paid, and what lets us remove the faxes again if Apple issues you a refund.
5. Permissions the app asks for
- Camera. To photograph the pages you want to fax. The camera is used only while the scanner is open, and no image leaves your device except as part of a fax you send.
- Photos. Only when you choose Photos as a source. iOS shows its own picker and hands the app only the images you tapped, so the app never sees your library.
6. Who else is involved
| Company | What they do | What they receive |
|---|---|---|
| Apple | Sells the fax packs and processes payment | Your payment details, which we never see |
| RevenueCat | Processes purchase notifications for us | Purchase identifiers and your FaxGo account identifier |
| Telnyx | Transmits the fax over the telephone network | The document, for up to one hour, and the recipient number |
| Supabase | Hosts our database and server functions | Stores the fax records described above |
We do not use advertising networks, analytics kits, crash reporting services, or any other tracker. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we never have.
7. How long we keep things
- Documents: not kept by us at all, and held by the carrier for at most one hour.
- Fax records, meaning the numbers, page counts, and statuses listed above: kept while your account exists, so your history and your balance stay correct.
- Purchase records: kept as long as the law requires us to keep records of sales.
8. Your choices
Write to support@softery.io and we will:
- tell you everything stored against your account,
- correct anything that is wrong,
- delete your account, its history, and any unused balance.
Deletion is permanent. Faxes you have bought and not used are forfeited when you ask us to delete the account, because there is no longer anywhere to keep them.
Depending on where you live you may have additional rights, for example under the California Consumer Privacy Act or the General Data Protection Regulation. We honour those requests through the same address.
9. Children
FaxGo is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has used the app, write to us and we will delete the record.
10. Security
Traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted with HTTPS. Our database is not reachable from the public internet, and only our own server functions can read it. No system is perfect, and fax transmission over the telephone network is unencrypted by design, which is why we say plainly above that a fax should be treated like a phone call.
11. Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page, and material changes will also be announced in the app.
